MicroMark Army Lists are a unique collection of A4 coloured card sheets detailing the organisations of the worlds armed forces. The lists use a standardised format to show the organisation of combat battalions within a particular brigade, regiment or division. Particular emphasis is placed on the number of heavy weapons, armoured vehicles, and squad strengths available to a unit. Each list also details all the combat support elements available to brigade and division commanders, including artillery, engineers and recce units. Then each list has a detailed notes section, commenting on the allocation of radios, infantry anti-tank weapons, in service dates and additional information as required. There is also a standardised morale and training rating system, which aims to represent the troop quality of the unit in question. Additional lists are available showing assets available to corps and army commanders, such as corps heavy artillery, rockets, helicopter units, bridging units, special forces and so on. What the lists do not show is orders of battle for particular campaigns, the number of cooks, carrier pigeons and bottle washers in a division or the number and type of supply trucks within a force - these are aimed at wargamers and researchers interested in the combat end of a division or brigade - the teeth arm. Sources used are usually those in the public domain, cross referenced as much as possible. Some, such as the WWII Polish and Greek are based on goverment information from those countries, and is the most accurate published in English. Others are based on best available information and known foreign influences, which will provide a list sufficient for wargaming use at least. As new information is found the lists are updated as soon as possible, usually keeping the same code number but with a suffix A, B or C. Other code letters used are:
